Diana Zehetner is known as a theatre and dance photographer, but lately she has been devoting her time to photographing opera and drama as well. She has been cooperating with the National Theatre in Prague for a number of years. Apart from her theatre work she specialises in photographing people and movement for corporate, editorial and advertising purposes.
Diana began her creative journey at an early age and studied privately fine art painting in Prague with one of the most significant Czech surrealist painters, Josef Istler. In a twist of fate she decided to study economy and she than successfully pursued an investment banking career in the City of London.
In London Diana also discovered photography which she uses to paint atmospheric images of people and movement. “I would say that I specialise in capturing emotional and physical movement and it does not have to be necessarily ballet. We all are constantly on a move and you cannot step into the same river twice. That fascinates me”.
